PreZero Netherlands Achieves Internationally Recognized CSR Certification Across All Operations and Locations
PreZero Netherlands has achieved Level 3 on the CSR Performance Ladder. This certification assesses organizations based on their contribution to the United Nations’ international Sustainable Development Goals. It is the first time the company underwent a full audit across all its operations—and immediately succeeded in reaching this score. Suzanne Stokman-Godschalk, Sustainability Manager at PreZero Netherlands, stated: “This confirms our strategic direction, where sustainability and social responsibility are central.”
According to PreZero Netherlands, responsible entrepreneurship goes beyond environmental sustainability—something that is already deeply embedded in the company’s DNA. During the audit, PreZero deliberately chose six diverse themes, including employee health and safety. “People are our greatest driving force—not only for getting the work done, but also for advancing innovation,” says Suzanne Stokman-Godschalk. “That’s why we invest just as much in vitality, mental health, and safety as we do in circular technologies.”
Employees as the Greatest Asset
This policy translates into tangible results. Employees are supported through a lifestyle program that promotes vitality, a wide range of training opportunities to foster continuous development, meeting-free days to improve efficiency, and driver training focused on safe and fuel-efficient driving. Each year, PreZero Netherlands trains 20% of its drivers in new driving techniques, resulting in positive outcomes for fuel consumption, safety, and damage reduction.
Creating New Raw Materials
Achieving Level 3 certification marks not only a milestone for the company but also demonstrates that social responsibility is becoming an economic factor. For PreZero Netherlands, the certification is above all an encouragement to continue the transition toward a circular economy. “Climate change remains one of the world’s biggest challenges. We believe in Zero Waste—in a world where we discard less and reuse more. That’s how we preserve the earth’s resources,” says Suzanne Stokman-Godschalk. “If reuse isn’t possible, we turn waste into new raw materials. That’s what we work on every day.”
Sustainability as a Priority
PreZero Netherlands believes that sustainable entrepreneurship is not only essential but also the only viable path forward from a business perspective. Suzanne Stokman-Godschalk: “We truly want to make progress in climate action, sustainability, and circularity. But we can’t do it alone. With appropriate legislation and structural financial support, the government can create the necessary conditions to make this transition truly feasible. We are convinced that collaboration and innovation are the keys to solutions for a sustainable future.”
