Plastic recyclates are the better raw materials

25.10.2022

„Kunststoff-Rezyklate sind die besseren Rohstoffe“

At K 2022, environmental services provider PreZero will demonstrate the diversity and quality of its plastics recyclates and services

Neckarsulm, 20. October 2022. Closing loops – this is the goal pursued by the international environmental service provider PreZero with its approximately 30,000 employees in 11 countries in Europe and the USA. At K 2022, the world's most important trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, PreZero will present its services in the field of plastics recycling – from consulting and packaging licensing to the production of high-quality recyclates for the most demanding applications. "Our vision is to give a new life to more than 500,000 tons of plastic waste worldwide by 2030," says Thomas Kyriakis, CEO of PreZero. "This can only be achieved if more and more companies realize that plastic recyclates are better raw materials – better for the environment and the climate, and therefore better for the company's own success."

In order to convince trade fair visitors of the quality and diversity of recycled plastics, PreZero will be part of exciting live events at K 2022, in addition to providing individual advice at its own booth (Hall 8b | Booth A57). One highlight of the trade show appearance is live recycling with partner companies EREMA, Baerlocher and Milliken: High-density polyethylene (rHDPE) and polypropylene (rPP) will be produced on site from post-consumer material. Recyclable materials that are in no way inferior to virgin plastics – neither in odor nor in technical properties. Trade show visitors can still see this for themselves on three dates during K 2022. Andreas Witschningg from PreZero Polymers and Ruben Subira from Milliken will explain the technical background of the recycling process in a TechTalk.

At PreZero, the granulates are developed individually according to customer specifications – for example, with regard to hardness, elasticity, breaking strength, temperature and chemical resistance. They are thus a sustainable alternative to newly produced virgin material, which significantly improves the ecological balance of the resulting products. The areas of application for the high-quality recyclables are diverse – from horticulture to household appliances, home and office furniture, and the automotive industry.

Live recycling at the EREMA Circonomic Centre in the outdoor area of Messe Düsseldorf (OA Hall 16 | Booth -CE03):
Friday, October 21, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (rPP)
Monday, October 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (rHDPE)
Wednesday, October 26, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (rPP)

TechTalk on "Production of PreZero rPP compounds optimized with Hyperform® HPN®" at the Milliken booth, Hall 6, Booth A27: Tuesday, October 25, 2:00 p.m.
