Strong signal for the importance of the circular economy in Germany
Hannover, April 22, 2024. As one of fifteen international companies, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz made a stop at the PreZero booth during his traditional opening tour of the Hannover Messe this Monday. He was accompanied by Jonas Gahr Støre, the Prime Minister of Norway, this year's partner country at the fair. The Chancellor took the opportunity to thoroughly learn about PreZero and the latest developments in the circular economy.
He closely followed PreZero's ambitions to close the loop and asked detailed questions about the solutions presented. This reinforces the goal already set by the current government policy to make Germany a global leader in circular technologies and products. According to Scholz, the circular economy enables Germany to become less dependent on the import of essential raw materials, thereby contributing to the country's economic sovereignty, as stated in January at the fourth meeting of the Alliance for Transformation at the Federal Chancellery. At his visit, Chancellor Scholz also expressed strong support for the efforts to transform professional soccer towards zero waste.
Visit with Significant Impact
Wolf Tiedemann, CEO of PreZero International, welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of the visit: "It is a special honor to be selected as an environmental service provider from over 4,000 exhibitors at a predominantly technical-industrial fair. This underscores that we are on the right track towards Zero Waste and our efforts in the circular economy are receiving the highest political recognition. PreZero’s goal to support the companies of the Schwarz Group and our customers both ecologically and economically on their journey into circular economy is immensely validated by this visit."
